I really don’t have much of anything new to say. Still having appointments getting cancelled and trying to reschedule them and then cancel again and knocking 10 doors a day… haven’t seen really anything come from it yet.
We haven’t really had a whole lot of time to work in the area (at least as much as I’d like). Because Elder Simons is in the Mission Choir, we went to the Choir Practice on Wednesday from 1:30 – 3:00. On Thursday, we had F.H.A. from 1:30 – 3:00. And then on Thursday, our zone leaders told us that there was a Just Serve project on the ASU polytech campus that we all were required to go to on Friday that lasted from 2:00 – 8:30 (and every Friday, we have a Weekly Planning meeting from 10:30 – 1:30)… And we had a lesson set up on Friday evening that we would have had to suddenly cancel… so I was pretty ticked about that… but then the family ended up cancelling the lesson anyway because something came up (figures… EVERYTHING gets cancelled). So all-day Friday literally nothing got done proselyting wise. And all that the service was – was listening to a bunch of students from different high schools give different speeches and had to time them. And then that’s when our zone leaders tell us that Saturday from 8:00 – 4:00 PM, we had to come back to the ASU polytech campus AGAIN for service and all it really was – was a bunch of students from different high schools going in groups and taking quiz’s and tests and we were the proctor’s and marking which answers were correct and what their answers were and making sure they weren’t cheating or anything. Which, I mean the service was all well and good I guess, but holy cow, we didn’t get to have anything done this week because of it. And I really don’t see how that service helped missionary work progress along in any way, shape, or form.
So yeah, that’s pretty much it. Anyway, I hope you all have a great week!
