So obviously it has been a rough few weeks and it’s kind of taken a bit of a toil on me. But there are a few cool things to say. The church has come up with a new video called “Because He Lives” last Saturday. We got to see it last Tuesday and got pass-along cards to hand out. “Because He Lives” is similar to the “Because of Him” and “He Is The Gift” videos that were released last Easter and Christmas in that they are videos with no voice recordings, just text and music and video, and it testifies of the Savior Jesus Christ and how he applies to each and every one of us. It’s a really cool video with the powerful invitation to “Find Him.” http://www.mormon.org/easter So as you can imagine, that is starting to become a big focus is to share this with others similarly to how the “He Is The Gift” initiative was done.
In other news, we haven’t been able to meet with Liz herself in nearly three weeks, but we were able to stop by and found out that by the end of April, she will be getting a new job in which she can get Sundays off. So that’s really exciting that she can finally come to church! And we let them know about General Conference coming up.It’s crazy that Conference is coming up… but it sounds like within the next six weeks, we can finally get her Baptized!
Aaaaaand it’s right around the time that something starts to look like it may pick up as far as having someone progress that suddenly transfer calls came. And I’m finally getting transferred. That figures! 😛 Welp, can’t say I didn’t see it coming. I’ve been in this area for 7 and a half months. It’s the longest I’ve ever stayed in a single area. It’s kind of weird leaving now. On one end, it’s kind of exciting to see what’ll happen and experience a new area, but on one end after being in this area for a while, it starts to feel like home. It’s really weird leaving now. I’ve got a lot of people to say goodbye to before Wednesday. So Transfer Meeting lands on April Fools Day. I kind of hope President does a bunch of fake transfer news and then after a while says, “April Fools!” and says who is actually being put with who and where, etc. Probably won’t happen, but I think that the opportunity of having Transfer Meeting on April Fools Day shouldn’t go to waste. That’s about all that I have to say about this week.
I’ll leave with my testimony that I know that the Savior Jesus Christ lives today. I know that He performed his Earthly Ministry as it is recorded in the scriptures and that He suffered in the Garden and on the Cross so that each of us can receive eternal happiness. I also know and am grateful for the knowledge that we have a Living God. There are so many who believe that God only lives or exists in the scriptures and that He does not communicate to Man anymore. How fortunate we are to have a God who lives outside of the scriptures and is very active in our lives and communicates to us through His chosen servants. General Conference is coming up this weekend and I’m looking forward to it. I hope that we will all be able to receive revelation from it. And I leave these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
